Meet Your Fitness Goals With At Home Workouts

As the weeks and days go by it’s never too late to time to start planning goals. Does one of your goals include weight loss or getting fitness? In this blog, we will be sharing tips for meeting your fitness goals while never having to leave the comfort of your home.

Start Slowly

Getting fit and healthy is a marathon – not a sprint. If you’re going into the New Year with an absolute blank slate, you may want to try working out only one or two times a week to prevent getting burnt out too quickly.

As those workouts become easier, add additional days or longer sessions. This will help you build up your endurance in the future.

Use YouTube as a Resource

Gym memberships and classes can be a big deterrent for some people because of rising membership prices. However, there are plenty of free resources available on the internet through YouTube.

For example, Blogilates is a great channel dedicated to using pilates to get fit – all from the comfort of your own home. This could be applied to many different types of workouts, from yoga to kickboxing. Free fitness videos are a great way to get fit at home, especially if you don’t have much of a budget to dedicate to your fitness plan.

Make Mindful Changes and Goals

Diet and hydration are important parts of getting fit and healthy. Instead of reaching for a sweet coffee or soda, start carrying around a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated. The HYDAWAY Bottle is a collapsible bottle but can collapse to fit in your pocket.

Instead of grabbing sweet or fatty snacks, swap out for some fresh veggies or fruits. Your body will be filling up with strong nutrients instead of empty calories. Adding more water to your life is a simple fitness goal that makes a massive impact.

Do Tiny Workouts Every Day

By “tiny workouts”, we truly mean TINY workouts. You don’t have to dedicate 45 minutes or two hours to a full workout. Short but intense workouts can help strengthen muscles and contribute to your larger workout later in the week. Start by doing activities such as 15 jumping jacks when you get up in the morning or a 30-second plank when you’re waiting for water to boil. These tiny workouts can help warm muscles up a bit so that your blood is pumping throughout the day.

Have a Motivational Team

One of the hardest parts of working out and staying fit is finding the motivation to get up and go. An easy way to combat this is to partner up and find a team of people to help motivate you through it.

This could mean working out with your significant other, finding some neighbors to go walking with, or even just encouraging yourself through a challenging workout with some affirmative messages.
